The Authority’s 2019 Risk Management Educational Forum broke an attendance record, with over 400 members, guests, business partners, and staff present for the annual event. Titled “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of Risk Management,” the Forum provided attendees with the opportunity to learn from knowledge experts regarding some of the top risk management issues facing local governments today.
Keynote speaker Mac Anderson, founder of Simple Truths and Successories, Inc., inspired participants with his 212° philosophy on creating a service culture, while breakout sessions addressed emerging risk management issues such as employment practices liability, bicycle and scooter rideshare services, best approaches for encounters with the homeless, and sidewalk inspection and maintenance programs.
