The Authority’s New Risk Managers Committee Holds Its Inaugural Meeting

The inaugural California JPIA Risk Managers Committee meeting was held on Monday, May 16. The purpose of this new committee is to ensure the delivery of the best risk management solutions, including providing guidance and recommendations to Authority members to better understand and manage operational risk exposures within their organizations.

Among the topics discussed at the meeting were wildfire risk management, cyber security needs, and risk management training for staff at all levels. Additionally, the committee chair and vice-chair were appointed. Brad McKinney, assistant city manager for the City of San Dimas was selected as chair, and Arabo Parseghian, division manager with the City of La Cañada Flintridge was selected as vice-chair.
