News: Worthy-Newly Developed Online Training
In response to state and local COVID-19 teleworking and social distancing protocols, the Authority has suspended all instructor-led classroom training indefinitely. These will be rescheduled at a future time.
In response to state and local COVID-19 teleworking and social distancing protocols, the Authority has suspended all instructor-led classroom training indefinitely. These will be rescheduled at a future time. Members are encouraged to take advantage of the Authority’s E-Learning Training. E-learning Training offers members free learning on-demand, anytime or anywhere. Training content is delivered online through a personal computer.
The Authority has developed several new e-learning safety courses that comply with Cal/OSHA safety requirements. Many of these safety trainings are required annually by Cal/OSHA and your agency may find that these serve as a practical way to provide training to your employees.
The new courses include:
- Asbestos
- Bloodborne Pathogens and Biohazards
- Fire Extinguisher
- Lead Awareness
- Hearing Conservation
- Heat Illness
- Safe Driving
- Safe Driving of Commercial Vehicles
In addition to the training listed above, the Authority offers over 300 e-learning, short take training videos, and other online content available to members via myJPIA Training. The Authority is developing additional online training courses as a resource to members.
