Lead Awareness - Refresher Training
This class serves as a Cal-OSHA required annual refresher for employees, and supervisors who might be exposed to lead paint in the workplace. The course material aligns with Cal-OSHA Regulation Title 8, Section 1532.1.
Students will review the hazards and permissible limits of lead exposure, EPAs Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule, and tools and techniques to keep exposure limits below the permissible levels.
Employee protections, such as using personal protective equipment and requirements for medical surveillance, are also described.
