Praesidium is a mission-driven risk management firm that helps organizations reduce the risk of sexual abuse as well as the risk of false allegations. With more than 25 years of experience and serving thousands of clients in the United States and 11 other countries, their dedicated team of researchers, psychologists, attorneys, social workers, and human resource professionals have analyzed thousands of cases of abuse in organizations and synthesized the latest scientific research. They know how abuse happens in organizations…and, more importantly, how to prevent it.
The Authority fully funds this abuse prevention program, which offers abuse protection systems within agencies to help protect residents and contribute to safe communities. As part of the Authority’s agreement with Praesidium, members can access valuable resources, including a helpline, model policies, toolkits, and training. Download the Praesidium Overview here.
Authority members new to Praesidium should download and apply the Implementation Guide here and the Onboarding Checklist here, where Praesidium provides a structured approach to accessing resources and onboarding personnel for seamless utilization. The step-by-step process ensures effective utilization of resources in the first 30, 60, and 90 days, and beyond, empowering organizations to maximize the resources and prevent abuse in your organization.
Helpline
In most cases of sexual misconduct or abuse within an organization, individuals report having seen or heard something suspicious, inappropriate, or of concern, yet failed to take action or did not know what to do next. The Praesidium Helpline gives member leadership teams a confidential mechanism to discuss concerns or allegations involving sexual abuse and receive support to navigate next steps. Make an anonymous call to the Praesidium Helpline for a confidential consultation with a Praesidium expert for your abuse prevention questions and issues. Download the Praesidium Helpline fact sheet here.
Call toll-free, (866) 607-SAFE (7233) seven days a week. Information discussed during the call will not be shared with the Authority.
