Robert “Bob” O’Neill, Chair of the Joseph P Riley, Jr. Center for Livable Communities at the College of Charleston, will be giving the keynote address at the Authority’s virtual educational forum, “Resilient Together,” this October.
Man-made and natural disasters, the COVID-19 pandemic, and other contemporary issues have caused both health and economic challenges, stressing local communities in ways not seen in decades. These challenges have highlighted a growing gap between what produces the outcomes we need and what is politically possible. The keynote, titled “Leadership in Crisis,” will explore successful organizational strategies and leadership attributes that are critical for today’s managers and leaders.
“Resilient Together” will be held on October 14 and 15 and is free to attend. Note that registration is limited to local government public agency officials and employees, and the Authority’s strategic partners. For more information and to register, visit the Forum website. For questions, send an email to the Authority’s Forum team or call the Authority at (562) 467-8700.
