Webinars on COVID-19 Issues Available on Website

The Authority has a collection of webinars on its website to assist members with coronavirus pandemic matters. Recent webinars added include SB 1159 & AB 685: What You Need to Know, and Overview of the Cal/OSHA COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standards.  

SB 1159 & AB 685, hosted by the California JPIA on October 1, 2020, addresses multiple aspects of two new laws impacting COVID-19 in the workplace. Topics covered include the creation of a COVID-19 workers’ compensation presumption, the claim investigation process, and new responsibilities for employers. Note: this webinar is available to Authority members only.  

The Overview of the Cal/OSHA COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standards webinar covers new Cal/OSHA emergency regulations that require employers to protect workers from hazards related to COVID-19. Hosted by the Authority on December 16, 2020, the webinar provides a summary of the regulations, implementation of a COVID-19 prevention program, heightened standards for outbreaks, and legal aspects of the regulations. This webinar does not require member credentials to view.
